A day with nature, history and good food, visiting Giron

Friday, January 19, we will pick you up at 8:30 at Plaza Otorongo, drive you to La Yunta where Rafa will cook a traditional breakfast from Cuenca called Huevos al jugo which is boiled free-range eggs with a rich beef and tomato sauce, with homemade bread and butter, selection of gouda cheese, fresh juice and tea or coffee.

Afterwards, we will drive to Giron where we will visit the fantastic Chorro de Giron and then to San Fernando were we are going to visit the imposing Lake of Busa where we can enjoy the tranquility of the water and the mountain after a short or long walk up to you we will go to Lago de Cristal were we will enjoy a delicious lunch cook by our friend Humberto Arpi. The menu for this trip will be Locro de Papas, Deep fried trout with chips and green salad, and a fruit salad for dessert.

On the way back to Cuenca we will stop by Giron town center where we will visit the Museo de los Tratados where Aida Abril will tell us about Giron History. Back in Cuenca by 5:30 PM.
