Spicy Mexican cooking at El Salón

Are you a fan of spicy Mexican cooking?

Come try some at El Salón this Saturday – winner of Best International Food in the 2017, GringoPost Awards.

We love our Mexican chilies, so this Saturday we’re cooking up a menu of spicy Mexican dishes using our specially-imported ingredients including Ancho, Chipotle, Guajillo and Pasilla chillies.

We’ll be cooking to a medium spice level, and extra chile sauce will be available.

The menu is made up of three dishes – an individual soup per person and then the other two dishes to share amongst your table. As always at El Salón, there will be plenty to share! It costs $9 per person. Plus, you can accompany it with 2 large Pilsner beers for just $5!

The menu:

Sopa de tortilla
Our tortilla soup is a thick tomato, garlic and onion broth cooked with ancho chile to give it a smoky, spicy taste. This is topped with pieces of crunchy tortilla chips, crumbled fresh cheese and pieces of avocado.

Chimichanga de pollo
A deep-fried chicken burrito, filled with shredded chicken, beans and rice and topped with pico de gallo salsa and guacamole.

Tacos de carne
Soft tortilla tacos filled with spicy marinated beef, chipotle chilli sauce, coriander, guacamole and onion.
