Total solar eclipse meditation

A rare total solar eclipse will move across the United States on Monday, August 21, 2017, with its shadow moving ashore at Salem, Oregon at 12:18 PM (Ecuadorian Times only herein) and ending as it moves offshore out of South Carolina at 1:47 PM, nearly ninety minutes later. You can search online for further science and/or metaphysical insights and perspectives on this rare Eclipse. Group meditations can be quite powerful, too, and is a perfect accompaniment to an eclipse, sort of in keeping with a much lighter take in the matters of celestial shadows falling across the land.

You are cordially invited to join us in meditation at Parque de la Madre Monday, August 21, 2017 at Noon-ish. If you’re on time, the meet up will be across the central walking path from the children’s jungle gym at the wooden corn goddess statue. If you’re late, look close-by for a circle of people meditating, and join in. We will do a brief ceremony at 12:15 PM, set peaceful and unifying intentions for the meditation, and then, begin our meditation. Some of us will meditate during the entire eclipse, and others, for a briefer time. If you’re late or want to leave early, please be mindful of the meditation in process. Thank you in advance.

What to bring: Your presence, and a blanket, pillow, chair or something to sit or lie on.

Monday, August 21 from Noon to 2 PM, Free, Parque de la Madre, Cuenca.
