Recommendation for Cristian Cordero, locksmith

I left my keys in a taxi, all of them, no duplicates, a couple of nights ago. I called Cristian, and he came very promptly. I needed a new lock and key for a dresser drawer, a new key for the front door if my building, and a hasp and padlock installed on the door to my apartment.

Cristian walked with me to a tiny hardware store nearby, and helped me choose parts and locks for installation; the total for parts came to less than $11, half of them made in the USA. He cut new keys for the building in the back of his truck. He then picked the lock on the drawer and replaced that. Finally, he installed the hasp and padlock. He did a careful, masterful job on everything.

He worked for about 90 minutes, and his charge for labor was miniscule compared to his professionalism, the product of 11 years of experience here in Cuenca. Should I need a locksmith again, for replacing locks, cutting keys, or rekeying locks, I would not hesitate to call him. His English is not good, but he has an English speaker who can accompany him if your Spanish feels shaky. You may feel entirely confident in hiring him when you need a locksmith. Cristian Cordero is competitive with the finest locksmiths anywhere in the United States.
