Cuenca biennial art event, 2016, starts November 25, 2016

For art lovers in Cuenca, this is an event not to miss. The International Biennial of Cuenca (held every 2 years) is considered one of the most important contemporary visual arts events in Ecuador and Latin America. 50 artists from 27 countries have been selected to present their art with the theme: “Impermanence - Mutation of art in a materialistic society”.

On Friday, November 25th:
11 AM Parque de la Madre - installation of outdoor public art

5 PM reception at Miguel Illesca’s Gallery located on Calle Larga 1-209 featuring 9 Ecuadorean artists.

7 PM official opening of the Biennial event at Pumapungo Museum Auditorium. (Similar to Academy Awards where attendees will be dressed to the nines.)

On Saturday, November 26th, 5 PM Reception at GalerĂ­a Conde, Calle Larga 4-23, featuring 6 Cuban artists.
