Recommendation for Eats & Treats, restaurant and lounge

This is the newest of what seems a sprouting of Indian restaurants all of a sudden in Cuenca. Located within steps of each other at Calle Largo and Benigno Malo intersection. I lived 18 years in India and until today have not been very impressed with my Cuenca / Indian food experiences.

The owner of Eats & Treats (sounds like a diner - yet it is anything but) is a young chap from South India - the State of Kerala. The atmosphere is so relaxing, fresh and comfortable. My lunch was a very simple potato and cauliflower dish called aloo gobi plus I ordered his Jeera rice - that is rice with cumin... Try it if you haven't had it. It is like rice from heaven. The flavor rocked me back to M.I. Road in Jaipur.

The helpings are not huge but for a couple were adequate which makes your lunch tab very reasonable.

I have no personal interest in this restaurant beyond wanting it to continue serving great food for a long time. So, if you like Indian food do give this restaurant a try.
