Cuenca Symphony V concert of season II, 2016

The Symphony Orchestra of Cuenca under the baton of maestro Michael Meissner, Chief Conductor with the participation of the Cuencana soprano, Vanessa Regalado, presents the V Concert of Season II, 2016 Friday, October 14 which will be held at the Old Cathedral Museum at 8 PM with free admission.

The Feast of Dwarfs Jose Rolon, (premiere Cuenca) Inspired by the poem by Alfonso Gutierrez Hermosillo. 1927. First performance composite Mexico City March 4, 1928 by the Orchestra of the National Conservatory with José Rocabruna, Director. First Prize awarded by the First Congress of Music, Mexico, 1927.

O Mio Caro Bambino of Giacommo Puccini (Oh, my dear papa) is an aria from the opera Gianni Schicchi (1918) by Giacomo Puccini (music) and Giovacchino Forzano (Libretto). She sings the character "Lauretta" after tensions between Schicchi and his future in-laws come to a breaking point that threatens to separate her from Rinuccio, the young man she loves. In the opera represents a contrast between the expression of lyrical simplicity and fusion lovers in one heart in an atmosphere of hypocrisy, jealousy, double negotiation and feudalism in medieval Florence in the only comedy Puccini, providing the single piece of situation in a work of responsive and conversational style.
