Are you prepared for medical emergencies or end of life in Cuenca?

Are you prepared? Medical emergencies, incapacitation, end of life? We never think about it. We never think about it happening to us. Accidents, medical crises, emergency medical situations like stroke, heart attack, or things like fractures, incapacitation, or end of life, in Cuenca.

Now is the time to prepare a system of informed guidance and support for yourself so that you can navigate the health care system here. Miriam Drake has been there. She is a former healthcare administrator, and has developed a 2-hour seminar with workbook that will help you get started with practical step by step guidance. This material is based on what Miriam learned from her experiences caring for her stroke surviving husband for a year through 4 emergency hospitalizations and 2 emergency surgeries, and countless other details, including end of life in Cuenca.

This seminar, “Expat Medical Emergency Preparation” and the workbook, will help you organize the myriad of details so that you can develop a system going forward to care for yourself and loved ones in case something happens to you.

We can’t change the system here and there’s no point in standing around complaining.

This seminar is designed for you. It will give you the tools and direct your thinking so that you are prepared.

Do it now. By reservation only, seating is limited. To reserve your spot let Miriam know how many will be coming:

When: Thursday, November 3rd, 9-11 AM. Come and have breakfast first, 8-9. Why not? Then attend the seminar at 9.

Where: the new Vegetable Bar on 3 de Noviembre y Jacaranda ( 1 block up from the los Cedros bridge. Oro Verde Hotel is on Ordonez Laso which is a block away.

How much: $10 includes workbook and seminar

With my best wishes, Miriam Drake, M.Ed., N.C.C:
