Recommendation for Kathy Gonzalez, real estate agent

My wife and I met Kathy in September, 2015, on our second trip to Cuenca. We had fallen in love with the City on our first trip there a month before and started an Internet search for real estate in and around Cuenca. I contacted Cuenca Real Estate via email and provided a wish list of what we would like to find. Kathy immediately responded and said she would set it up for us to see as soon as we confirmed a firm date. We confirmed and when we arrived, she picked us up at our hotel and spent nearly a full week showing us neighborhoods and specific properties therein. By the end of the week we had selected 3 that met all our needs and desires. She then set up outside contractor to inspect each property to pinpoint and structural shortfalls and proved estimates to correct all. From there, she facilitated our offers/negotiations with the sellers until we had a firm, accepted agreement to purchase. Kathy then walked us through all the paperwork/legal steps to complete the deal. She recommended an attorney to work for us (who turned out to be excellent) and held our hand until we had the deed. Since our purchase, Kathy has continued to function as our "agent": she found us a contractor to redesign the entire kitchen and supervised the remodeling construction in our absence; we wanted an alarm system installed and again Kathy got us estimates and supervised installation; she assisted in getting the water, electric and phone service put in our name; and she continues to assist us in keeping the service bills paid until we can physically get "in country". Finally, Kathy also helps us follow up on our resident visa process. We would be lost without her. Can hardly wait to get back to our new home and show her in person how much we appreciate her.
