Recommendation for Oswaldo, Gloria, Colombian restaurant bakery

I used to eat in a Colombian restaurant with bakery a half block up from the main post office on Borrero and Gran Colombia. Due to the tram construction, they went out of business.

I was walking towards Coral on Mariscal Sucre, when Oswaldo, the man who used to be at the Colombian restaurant that closed, stepped out and recognized me. I used to really enjoy their lunches (almuerzos) and their good coffee and baked goods.

Today I enjoyed a soup plus barbequed chicken (almuerzo) for $2.75, and took home some crescent rolls, choc chip cookies, and some cheese / pineapple, ham slices. They turned out to be sweet, with pineapple jelly.

I was happy to find my old favorite restaurant in its new location, just 2 blocks from the Coral store on Sucre.

They open at 6:30 AM for breakfast, lunch at noon, tamales, etc, the rest of the day, and are open til 10 PM. Gloria cooks, and Oswaldo's brother bakes.
