Recommendation for Julia Larina, quilting

I’ve lived in Cuenca for 2 ½ years. I’ve seen both the new and old Cathedrals, Parque Calderon, Pumapungo, Banos, Gualaceo, and Chordeleg. What I haven’t seen is a truly high-quality and reasonably priced quilt. Until last week, that is, when I read an advertisement for Ecuquilt. Owned by Julia Larina, (who also teaches quilting), the poly down comforters she produces are (as we say in New York) “to die for.” I’m not talking Sukasa here; I’m talking Bloomingdales, Nordstrom’s and Macys. I ordered queen-size. The comforter was delivered in two days. It was not only large enough for a Queen, it could easily have fit a King as well (and a few Jesters, if you’re into that kind of thing), and the workwomanship was superb. The price is remarkably reasonable. Give yourself a treat and a great night’s sleep. If you suffer from insomnia, you can probably deduct the cost of the comforter from your income tax as a medical deduction.
