Recommendation for Gaia Bar, restaurant

It was raining so we ducked into the Gaia Bar restaurant. The sign advertised almuerzo for $3, so why not? Now we know why; a large glass of delicious juice, a broiled tomato slice with cheese and a drizzle of something delicate and complimentary. Accompanied by a large bowl of exceptional lintel soup followed by a generous entre. The rice, not like most, was very moist and perfectly cooked as was the boneless pork chop. The moist meat was topped with a pineapple chutney that was the paring of a chef's genius. Included was a salsa and a few baked sections of potatoes and closed by a small but absolutely fantastic little dessert to please the palate. We could not believe how full we were; yet, perfect proportions. Our first time here, but certainly not our last. Great meal for a nominal $3. Who would have believed it?

Parque de la Madra, next to the Planetario.
