The Symphony Orchestra of Cuenca under the baton of maestro Patricio Mora Yanza (Ecuador), Representative Director and with the participation of the famous singer Umberto Ballone (Italy), Soloist Guest, presents its XIII Concert I Season 2016, Friday, May 20, in the Pumapungo theater with free entry.

The repertoire is: Summer Time * George Gershwin, Only Have Eyes For You * Harry Warren, Blue Moon * Richard Rodgers, Flavor To Me * Alvaro Carrillo, It Could Happen to You * Jimmy van Heusen, Bring Him Home * Claude-Michel Schonberg, When Back Your Side * Mary Grever, Not Me Platiques More * Alvaro Carrillo, It Might Be You * Dave Grusin, These Foolish Things * Eric Maschwitz, The Way Tou Look Tonight * Jerome David Kern. * Ten of the compositions have interpreted the orchestral arrangements Tacuri Cristian Alvarez, First Corno Symphony Orchestra of Cuenca.

Umberto Ballone-singing (Italy) spent his early years in Europe and later living in the US. Umberto appreciates songs that belong to a genre of nostalgia known as "Jazz Standards" as well as Broadway show songs that have stood the test of time. He is a baritone with a velvet voice, you can hear him on the CD "First Take".

Their concerts in Cuenca, Gualaceo, Salinas and Quito have been a resounding success. His vocal performances are an echo of Frank Sinatra and Mel Torme and Steve Lawrence. Umberto resides in the city of Cuenca and is in the process of completing a second CD.
