Una Mano por Ecuador, 5 km walk

On April 16, 2016, Ecuador suffered a 7.8-magnitude earthquake that has so far left more than 500 people killed and the number continues to rise. Six provinces have been declared emergency, some cities have been destroyed up to 80%, people still under the rubble, many are still missing and many who have survived the catastrophe remain without electricity, no water and the situation is aggravating.

All university students from Cuenca know the importance of joining forces right now when our country needs us the most and be aware of what we can do. We intend to raise the sum of $100,000 to help the victims. We will have a 5 km charity walk in the city of Cuenca to show our support, also a concert with different artists will be held after the walk at Parque de la Madre.

All proceeds will be donated for the reconstruction of the affected areas. Visit for website www.unamanoporecuador.com for more information.

April, 30th from 10 AM to noon, $10, Parque de la Madre, Cuenca.
