To all US expats

As a US citizen I am ashamed that the United States has not committed to send any relief aid to our adopted country of Ecuador. Secretary of State John Kerry made an inept statement that “The US is ready to help in any way it can," but made no tangible commitment of support. Politically speaking, these two countries are not on the best of terms, however, this is not a political issue, but one of humanitarian support. I urge all US citizens living in Ecuador to go onto social media or call the White House and urge our government to send immediate aid. The telephone number of the White House is 202 456 1111 or 202 456 1414. I also urge all US  citizens living in Ecuador to help relief organizations by donating money or non-perishable food items. We owe it to our adopted country to help in any way we can.
